Schooner Rembrandt arrives in Húsavík again

Three-mast passenger sailing schooner Rembrandt Van Rijn arrived in Húsavík this evening. This is not the first time the majestic schooner comes to Húsavík, and it is always a sight to see. This time arriving from Grímsey island with 17 passengers, and heading on to Akureyri tomorrow afternoon, Rembrandt was built as a herring lugger early last century. The vessel was rebuilt as a three-mast passenger sailing schooner in he Netherlands in 1994 for sailing in Spitsbergen and in Galápagos.
