Since August this year, communications company Míla has been connecting homes in Húsavík to high speed optical fiber. The first phase of the project will see 320 homes connected.
As of now, homes at Garðarsbraut from 67 to 83 have been connected, and plans for this year include Árgata, Ásgarðsvegur, Mararbraut, Skólagarður and Túngata, who Míla say they hope to have online before the end of this year.
