The Diamond Circle road takes you to over 40 attractions in North Iceland

At a meeting at Lake Mývatn today, Visit North Iceland and the Húsavík Chamber of Commerce and Tourism announced a project to promote the scenic Diamond Circle route with a new logo, a map and a website.

The Diamond Circle can best be described as a magnificent ring road of 250 kilometers, leading you through 40 natural and man-made attractions in the Northeast of Iceland, including some of the most stunning sights and spots for unearthly landscapes.

The new logo for the Diamond Circle was designed by Cohn&Wolfe Iceland. The work was lead by Ingvar Örn Ingvarsson who also owersaw market research for the project. „We started by looking at how the ring conncets to a diamond, and we found that the thing that connects the two is infinity,” Ingvarsson told Húsavík Observer.

The new project will highlight 5 stops along the way, Húsavík, Goðafoss waterfall, Lake Mývatn, Dettifoss waterfall, and Ásbyrgi canyon.
