The third edition of DesignThing, Húsavík’s annual celebration of design and innovation, will take place September 26–27 at Stéttin. This year’s festival focuses on food and the many intersections between culinary arts and design.
Organizers promise an event that is both fun and thought-provoking, with a program ranging from product designers and packaging experts to chocolatiers, natural wine producers, and cheese specialists. The schedule also includes talks and presentations on community greenhouses, snail farming, insect protein, and contributions from the Iceland University of the Arts. Visitors can join individual sessions or follow the full festival program. Admission is free, except for an event in collaboration with GeoSea.
DesignThing highlights ideas that spark creativity and offer new ways of seeing and experiencing the world. With its mix of designers, chefs, entrepreneurs, and artists, the festival has quickly become one of the most distinctive cultural events in North Iceland.
More details about individual events and participants will be shared in the coming days. For the full schedule and updates, visit www.hradid.is/designthing.
