The board of Vaðlaheiði Tunnel approved changes to the tunnel’s toll rates this week, which will take effect on March 2, 2026. The price of single trips, as well as 10- and 50-trip passes, will increase by 4 percent. However, the price of monthly and annual passes will remain unchanged. The toll rates were last increased on January 2, 2025.
The price of a single trip for a passenger car will rise from ISK 2,131 to ISK 2,216. The cost of a 50-trip pass will increase from ISK 47,700 to ISK 49,608. The annual fee will remain at ISK 265,000 under the new pricing schedule.
